Getting In
The best way of getting into Kerala is either by flights or trains.

Airports:
There are three airports in Kerala. Trivandrum or Thiruvananthapuram (South), Cochin or Kochi (Central) and Calicut (north). 
1)Trivandrum or Thiruvananthapuram Airport code: TRV. It is approximately 3.7 kilometers (2.3 miles) due west from the city centre and 16 kilometers (9.9 miles) from Kovalam beach. Trivandrum International Airport has direct flights to many international cities like Kuwait, Dubai, Singapore, Male, Colombo, Sharjah, Muscat, Bahrain, Qatar, Jeddah and Abu Dhabi. It is linked with Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Goa and Bangalore by domestic flights. The airport is a convenient point for hopping onto neighboring SAARC countries like Sri Lanka and Maldives as well as to the Middle East and South East Asian countries. 2) Cochin or Kochi Airport code COK.  Cochin Airport is also located at Nedumbassery and therefore also known as Nedumbassery airport. It is located between Trichur and Kochi (formerly known as Cochin), which is approximately 30 km (19 mi) away. It is the busiest airport in Kerala both in terms of international and domestic traffic. Several direct international flights to Vienna, Dubai, Abudabi, Muscot, Kuwait, Sharja & Daharan operate from here besides many domestic flights to places such as Agatti, Banglore, Chennai, Coimbatore, New Delhi, Goa, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Trichy, Trivandrum & Calicut. 3) Calicut Airport code CCJ. Calicut International Airport , also known as Karipur Airport, is located at Karipur in the Malappuram district, near Kozhikode. The airport is located 26 km (16 mi) from the Calicut Railway Station and 27 km (17 mi) from the town of Manjeri, with the closest railway station being at Feroke.

Climate of Kerala
Basically there are four kinds of weather in Kerala such as winter, summer, the south west monsoons and the retreating monsoons. Throughout the year the climatic condition is humid and sultry. The rains drops pre dominates the weather of Kerala. The season of winter is short and that lasts less than three months starting from December to February. Sun shines brightly throughout the year in the southern part of India. Festivals and events of Kerala
Referred to as God's Own Country, the southern Indian state of Kerala is renowned for its colourful festivals. Festivals in Kerala are an integral part of the social and cultural structure and every community, every religion has something to celebrate about all throughout the year. Keralan festivals are astonishing, in both numbers, as well as the way they are celebrated. Especially from November to mid May, there are literally hundreds of temple festivals being held, featuring an array of performing arts and rituals, music and elephant procession.

Cultural Tips Plus some Do's & Don'ts
Some places of worship do not permit non- adherent of their faith, such as some temples will not allow non-Hindus. It is important to dress properly when visiting temples, mosques, churches or places of worship. Too skimpy dress can send wrong signals to wrong people.Nudity is not allowed in any Kerala beach. Smoking is banned in public places. Visitors to Keralan homes leave their footwear outside before entering the house and similary in temples. Some places are stricter then others, where leather products are not permitted. Display of affection in public like hugging or kissing is not well received in Kerala. It is best to stick to Govt. Emporium or Fixed price shops when shopping for souvenirs  as the prices in others may be highly exaggerated. When pointing at people or statue of a god, use extended palm instead of Trust in God but always lock your valuables.

Lanaguage
The main language of Kerala is Malayalam but most people can speak English. In addition to English Hindi as well as Tamil are spoken by large number.

Food in Kerala
Kerala cuisine is distinctly different from food elsewhere in India. Rice is a staple here, unlike the wheat-eating north of India. Seafood is also a big part of the diet.
